The Power Club Discover program is designed for Gifted & Talented children in grades 8-11 who are interested in exploring diverse career possibilities, developing real-world skills, and nurturing their talents.
What is the duration and structure of the program?
The Discover program consists of 24 online sessions delivered over 6 months. Each session lasts for 90 minutes and takes place on weekends. Your child is expected to spend an additional 30 minutes on independent work beyond the session. There are also two 1-on-1 sessions with a life design coach.
What kind of activities, projects and challenges will my child work on?
The program offers co-created challenges and projects with industry experts from renowned organizations like Stanford, Marvel, Tesla, and BBC. This allows your child to engage in real-world situations. They can choose challenges and projects that align with their interests. The activities are designed based on talent development, career discovery models for Gifted & Talented individuals, promoting deep thinking, reflection, and collaboration.
Will my child get a certificate at successful program completion?
Yes, every child who attends more than 80% of the sessions and successfully completes the expected challenges and projects within the given deadline will receive a certificate of program completion from Power Club. Exceptional performers will also receive a letter of recommendation from the Power Club team.
What kind of people will my child interact with during the program?
During the program, your child will interact with industry experts from organizations like Tesla, Marvel, Gap, and BBC. They will also engage with accomplished individuals from top global universities such as Yale, NYU, and Oxford. Coaches specialized in life design coaching will be available, and your child will have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded peers of a very high caliber from around the world.
What will the interview for the Discover program be about?
The objective of the interview is to assess the suitability of your child for the Power Club Program. We evaluate their intelligence, talent, and intent so they may benefit from the opportunities that Power Club offers.
